AbiWord 2.8.1 es un procesador de textos. La sencillez de su interfaz y los bajos requerimientos técnicos que permiten usarlo en equipos considerados ya obsoletos.
AbiWord tiene filtros de importación/exportación de documentos desde su formato nativo a XML, a RTF, HTML, Microsoft Word, LaTeX y OpenDocument.
Lamentablemente para los usuarios de Windows 95, 98 y ME AbiWord 2.6 no está disponible actualmente para su sistema operativo.
